| Go Mad for...the MAD Museum |
|
Over the space of two floors you will find a crazy array of off-the-wall moving machines, high-tech lighting technologies, imaginative contraptions and Victorian-inspired mechanisms consisting of rolling balls, churning cogs, nuts and bolts. The entertainment continues outside the museum into our MAD Garden, which displays a wealth of interactive wacky wind and water sculptures. What started as an idea gradually became a lifelong ambition for entrepreneur, Richard Simmons, and has now become a reality: "I have always been fascinated by how things work and love to see how mechanical parts interact with each other. The MAD Museum seems to really be filling a gap whereby artists with great work have few opportunities to exhibit!” This is the perfect attraction for the whole family with plenty of interactive fun, while also of interest to those who are fascinated by incredible mind-boggling designs and intricate workings.
